We typically touch on similar subjects in this intro, but evolving sounds is something that happens so quickly now, elements are changing even month to month. The average up-and-comer has a more keen sense of what is a occurring, what types of vibes to expand on, and where best to spend there time. Dance is evolving fam. Check it out below.
Bryant Knight – Tell Me
“Tell Me” taps into a sound I can only describe as downtempo and trap mixed together – with perhaps a bit of a heaven trap influence thrown in there as well. Yet, the tune suprises with a dramatic, melodic vocal sample. This turning point in the track makes the experience feel more like a story rather than a well-constructed set of sounds. “Tell Me” gets the imagination running.
not sorry & Wild Boyz! – Hold Up
Two fast rising American bass artists not sorry and Wild Boyz! team up on a bass sound that pushes intensity to the limit. “Hold Up” captures alot of classic dubstep percussion elements within, but boast a drop that really captures a unique, overpowering, and monstrous sound. The symphonic bridge only ehances this vibe more so.
Kaptain – Every Day Of The Week
Kaptian is back with some of their funk-bass vibes. This time, their jam band colors really come out in “Every Day Of The Week”. Is their keyboard work giving ode to classic jam/rock acts like Pink Floyd? Not sure, but the same type of Floyd emotion impacts during the listen. But in ” Every Day Of The Week,” the vocals give is a certain zest that I have not heard before – a great experimental tune that will make your day brighter.
I.Y.F.F.E – Jacuzzi Nights
Uprise Records, known for their eclectic blend of genres featured on one label, has released “Jacuzzi Nights” by I.Y.F.F.E. The quick-cut to a build up and drop is what makes this tune stand out. The second drop hits with an unforeseen ferociousness, catchy and catches you by surprise at the same time. I.Y.F.F.E seems to have a good idea of what 2016 rising sounds will ential.
Lady Bee & Kid De Luca – Drop Down (ft. Feliciana)
“Drop Down (ft. Feliciana)” is a mixture of 00’s vocals and rhythm, with a gorgeous melodic layer that takes the tune to another creative planet. “Drop Down (ft. Feliciana)” is different, while brilliant, in more ways than one, a trait that’s hard to come by these days. If you dig trap music, “Drop Down (ft. Feliciana)” will be your new jam.
