ohmy & Holly – Figure It Out
The mysterious duo ohmy is back and with the renowned trap legend Holly. “Figure It Out”, released on MMXV Artist Collective, will take you through a bass journey with four unique drops, packed with deranged sound design. This song is going to quickly find itself as a staple amongst bass sets across the globe.
HXV – Novocaine
HXV, also known as Heroes x Villains, is back with another trap hit and on the more personal side. “Novocaine” is a track about the young producers honest struggle and addiction with drugs and alcohol. With soothing vocals and monstrous 808’s throughout the tune, you’ll find yourself fixated on this record with one listen.
SCRVP – VIPS (SCRVP Remix)
If someone knows how to make a hard trap track a banger, look no further than SCRVP, who is also the co-founder and curator of the label MMXVAC. “VIPS (SCRVP Remix)” takes the metallic, bold trap sound that’s trending in 2016 and adds some surprising drums that gives the tune it’s edge. SCRVP’s new remix is one of the hardest on the list.
Nathaniel Knows – Soundsystem (Feat. Shamon Cassette) [Ditta & Dumont Remix]
With their “Soundsytem” remix Ditta & Dumont meld classic rave sounds with a drop filled with the best of today’s sound design techniques. Wobbly basses play off of screechy basses in a rhythm that is just off-kiltered enough to keep the listener interested with little help from other elements.
SoDown – Never Ending Story
SoDown is the saxophone playing fiend from Colorado, that also so happens to produce electronic music. His latest hit will have you drawn in with the smooth vocals from Jubee, a talented vocalist. Make sure to keep an eye out, as “Never Ending Story” is the first track off his upcoming EP “A Different Path”.
Psymbionic – A/S/L
When Psymbionic commits to an idea he goes hard, and his new dial-up inspired track is the perfect example of that. Wonky basses and phat 808s lay under every nostalgic sound you can think of from the baby days of the internet, while snare rolls and other percussive elements bring more life to the beat.
Ganja White Night – Wobble Master [VIP]
The doctors orders are in and he prescribed a heavy dosage of wubs. Coming hot off of Griz’s eminent label, All Good Records, Ganja White Night’s latest release will get the dance floor in motion. After giving his original track “Wobble Master” the update it needed, this bass VIP is the perfect touch to revive a classic.
Foxsky – Melt (Ascendants Remix)
Taking us over to the bass house scene is the duo Ascendants. After playing the renowned iii Points art festival this weekend in Miami, the team has been keeping the momentum strong with their latest remix being released on Play Me Records. Vi and Shaan’s touch on “Melt” will have you captivated by each bass line as it brings the track alive, while simultaneously being allured with the velvety vocals throughout the drop.
An-ten-nae & Soohan – Baratang
In one of the most energetic trap songs we’ve heard recently An-ten-nae & Soohan play with variety of middle eastern vocal samples, affecting them in all different ways and melodies, while thick 808s play a nice counter-melody.
