A month before the official release of Ricky Vaughn’s brilliant “Viva La Ricky” EP he asked several producers to remix his work. Now, April 18, is the day that the internet gets to see what they’ve come up with, and over all WhiteRaverRafting’s impressed.
The remixers include Ghetto Blastvs, Tres Leches, Noizekid, Wost, Locomotive, DJ DSN, Gabriel Rowano and Melo. Together they’ve managed to touch on a slew of styles and structures, making this free release very diverse. You’ll hear everything from salsa influences to moombaton and tropical house with a hint of dutch. “Mis Cuernos” is by far the most remixed tune off the EP, but you’ll also be granted cuts of “Jahan On Me….” and “Prendelo”.
