Most definitely some of the most innovative producers in the dance music scene right now, Brooklyn-based trio, Savoy, have just released their highly anticipated single entitled “Gin N Chronic”, and much to the delight of fans – they’ve put it up as a free download. Exemplary of their inventive and distinctive style, this tune is far from disappointing; it being a groovy, dynamic, and refreshing assemblage of rapidly firing synths, filthy growls, and brusque chords.
Their rock music influence discernibly shines through the tune at times, which is also punctuated by an array of catchy, rhythmic vocal chops, as well as their signature “lazer”-sounding effects. Fusing a range of diverse elements, this track presents an intriguing hybrid of genres and styles, adeptly using percussion patterns, and riffs of gritty synths to build up in intensity, ultimately reaching its climax with a staggering breakdown.
