SCNDL, the Melbourne-based duo currently dominating the Australian dance music scene, has released a stellar mixtape as a free download to thank fans for their support over the past year. Renowned for their signature energizing style, SCNDL has been one of the key figures responsible for the growing popularization of the “Melbourne-bounce” style in North America. The “bounce” sound has become very widespread as of late, being made popular by a slew of Aussie producers who have brought this fresh, and distinctive style to American dance floors.
2013 has been a massive year for Tom Grant & Adam Amuso (known together as SCNDL), with the release of their highly successful track “Gypsy” (which was acclaimed and supported by several notable producers such as Porter Robinson, and Dada Life), as well as having done remixes for big-names such as Bob Sinclar, Timmy Trumpet, and Deorro. This mixtape is packed with bangers and skillful edits, which includes (my personal favorite) their remix of Tonite Only’s “Fuck Tomorrow”, and an edit of “Bleed” (their newest track in collaboration with Timmy Trumpet).
