Through his ability to seamlessly blend genres, Shoffy has quickly become a legend in all facets of music. The producer, singer, and songwriter specializes in smooth, electro-R&B that encompasses elements of indie pop and downtempo. Based in Los Angeles, Shoffy burst onto the scene with his viral hit “Takes My Body Higher”. Since then, he has gone on to release a series of phenomenal albums, EPs, and singles, such as his 2021 album Marathon and the soothing single “Cool Again”.
Building upon his legacy, Shoffy has dropped … Onward, an album that is overflowing with mesmerizing tracks. Speaking on the album, Shoffy states, “this album came together in the last several months. I wrote and produced it, and the music is a collection of my favorite genres, sounds, melodies, and lyrical themes. I recorded it in my home studio in LA, and have one collab with my friend Sidizen King. The cover is a photo I took in Yosemite, one of my favorite places. I go about once a year and walk or bike on that path. I made this album for all my fans out there who like my music and made it for myself because I love to create and put new songs out in the world.
It’s a pretty cathartic and cool journey. The whole project is a collection of what I love both sonically and visually. I’m honored to have the opportunity to work with David Dutton on some of the visuals, he directed Nightmares In NYC and did all the incredible paintings along with his brother. I also can’t wait to go on tour again, see everyone in person, and play these songs live.”
Shoffy opens … Onward with an absolutely chilling song called “fade”. The track begins with heavenly vocals layered softly over a hypnotic beat that takes control of the listeners’ emotions. Telling a passionate story that’s left for interpretation, “fade” is an auditory gem with a timeless aura.
