This past Wednesday, Skream and Disclosure premiered a remarkable arsenal of sounds in a 70 minute back to back set on Boiler Room TV from The W Hotel in London. Those of you who happened to tune in with me will join in saying that it was a treat to say the least. A set which seemed a bit unique to me from Skream, the presidential suite was laden with huge moments of funky, r&b nu-disco vibes while local legends danced as part of the party.
I have no collective understanding of the scene in South London but this entire hour seemed to maintain an intimate vibe drawn from those community influences. Slightly foreign, my ears were introduced to something new. Both Skream and Disclosure proved to be immaculate on the DJ end as well.
