The wait is finally over; yesterday Spring Awakening Music Festival released its massive Phase One lineup and we’re kind of freaking out. The largest all-electronic music festival in the Midwest will return to Addams/ Medill Park in Chicago for its seventh annual installment, taking place Friday, June 8th through Sunday, June 10th.
The two main stages, Solstice and Equinox, will showcase the event’s most elaborate productions as well as host some of the biggest names in the industry. Headliners on the Solstice Stage include Kaskade, Tiësto, Steve Aoki, Dash Berlin, Afrojack, Carnage, Dimitri Vegas, Like Mike, Hardwell, and Borgore. Meanwhile, Tchami, Deadmau5, Zeds Dead, Alison Wonderland, Nghtmre, Big Gigantic, Flux Pavilion, Slushii, and Virtual Self (Porter Robinson’s new alias) will take over the Equinox Stage.
In along with the insanely stacked lineup that dropped today, Spring Awakening also revealed the identity of this year’s six Branded Stage showcases. Whether you’re searching for towering thrills and toxic rhythms at the Trance Arena, the perfect combination of grit and grime at the Bass Kitchen, or minimalistic chill beats at the Requiem, React has you covered. SAMF will also host stage takeovers by three diverse brands such as Sunday School, featuring both big-name and underground champions currently dominating the scene, Oliver Helden’s Heldeep Records imprint, and the highly acclaimed music publication DJ Mag.
Without a doubt, this one of the most impressive lineups for Spring Awakening yet, and the best part is we still haven’t even touch Phase Two. Stay tuned for the lineup to drop next week and purchase tickets now; you won’t want to miss this!
