Swedish superstar Steve Angello has teamed up with Russian duo Matisse & Sadko for “SLVR”. The progressive house tune, pronounced “silver”, debuted on Pete Tong’s BBC Radio 1 show and has been played by Angello at recent gigs. The song is especially significant for Angello because it marks the 100th release on his label Size Records and it arrives on the heels of Size Records’ 10 year anniversary.
Just as Dutch house has a distinct sound, “SLVR” carries the unique Swedish progressive house sound of high-pitched synths and uplifting melodies. It’s a fair bet that vocals will be added in the future similarly to previous progressive house hits like Hardwell’s “Spaceman” and Ingrosso & Tommy Trash’s “Reload”. Check out “SLVR” below, it’s official release is set for August 12 via Size Records.
