Are you someone who loves festivals but are looking for that grassroots vibe that larger fests such as Bonnaroo or Coachella can’t offer? Look no further than Thornville, OH: home of this year’s Werk Out Music and Arts Festival, taking place August 4-6. Located just a half an hour outside Columbus, The Werk Out offers the perfect location in rural Ohio to reflect on the crazy and spontaneous festival season you just had.
The 7th installment of the annual festival created by The Werks features 3 spectacular nights from the creators along with a multitude of sets from some of their friends. This year will feature two sets each from big names STS9 and Dopapod as well as two sets from the lesser known but equally great: Twiddle. As if that wasn’t enough, Werk Out 2016 is keeping your late night funky with sets from both Lettuce and The Motet that will make you want to dance until sunrise. The smaller print also offers some gems like Maryland funk band, and recent 8×10 residents, Litz. Also keep watch for the last headliner announcement if the initial lineup didn’t completely satisfy your need for good and weird music.
