The final playlist of the year! Never sure how far these playlists will go when I start them, but happy to see this one made it to the year’s end. Chill music has only grown since the start of the playlist, 2017 is set for this to increase more so – and Unwind will be here. Enjoy new releases from up-and-coming artists below.
The Great Escape – I Can’t Resist (Nebbra Remix)
Nebbra has been on fire lately, he made his career on solid remixes, but recently released his own full length EP that was original and went viral on SoundCloud. The solo artists from France is back with another remix, this time of The Great Escape’s “I Can’t Resist”. The tune has a western style twang to it, blended with indie future bass and an empowering spirit. Nebbra’s still got it.
LOUD LUXURY – see it again
The art on it’s own make you curious about Loud Luxury, with an anthemic feel and a house tempo, LOUD LUXURY makes a nostalgic feeling, almost melancholy original that puts the deep back in deep house. This is the first time LL has been on RaverRafting, but certainly will not be his last. Infectiousness thrives within this single. Can you guess what song this is covering? 🙂
coyote kisses – waiting for you feat. madison love (Niko Blank Remix)
Niko Blank chose a beautiful song to remix here. coyote kisses have been around for a long time and know how to slay it, but Niko Blank adds a modern, trending structure to the overall original – forward-thinking future bass, smooth basslines, and sustained keyboard chords in the background come together for a proper, memorable remix.
Toyboy & Robin – Through My Eyes
“Through My Eyes” is one of the more gentle releases on the list this week. The drums are perfect for a relaxing mood and Toyboy & Robin add every thearaputic measure you could imagine in a ambient / pop / soul single. This one was different in all the right ways, would love to hear what these two come up with next.
filous – Let It Snow
Austrian multi-instrumentalist & producer filous is continuing his 2016 momentum with “Let It Snow.” A trippy, chilly, super vibey original that encompasses what this artists is all about. One of his highlights of the year was his Dawn EP, which reaching #1 on HypeM and reached 3.5 million plays. Not a small feat for a solo producer.
Quintino x Cheat Codes – Can’t Fight It (Seppie Remix)
This tune was the random find of the week, if you will. I had it sent to me and it caught me off gaurd. The nice layer of popped mixed with the fact that this track was flipped on it’s head, compared to the original, is what had me loving this one. Seppie is on the come up to say the least.
