Out at last via the mighty Quality Goods Records is “Awakening,” a record first teased back in January. It has been expertly produced by label boss UZ in collaboration with fresh talent Hucci, and has been slaying club floors ever since it was initially heard.
This tune builds you up slowly and with intent. Using snaking melodies to set out a clear vibe, the track soon descends into a cataclysmic flurry of samples and frenetic trills – showing us the futuristic trap feels that the label projects with each release.
