The official aftershows for Voodoo Arts + Music Experience have been announced.
Deja Voodoo ensures that your Halloween weekend party never has to end. The festival which will take place the last weekend in October has an amazing line up, but what happens when the night has ended?
House of Blues, Gasa Gasa, Republic, Metro, and Civic are all local in Nola will be the venues of the offical Deja Voodoo after parties.
The weekend will start early on Thursday night with Slander. The duo brings the essence of trap to the stage, and will be sure to get the Voodoo mood started right. The show will give festival goers a little taste of the set that they have planned for Friday night of the festival. Plus who would give up the chance to see Slander twice in one weekend?
MuteMath with Polyenso is another option for people who want to get their festival started early. House of Blues will be hosting the local band for what is sure to be a kickoff night for the books.
Friday night when the music ends you will be asking yourself what next? Whether you choose to go see The Weekend or Carnage to finish out the first day of the festival. Deja Voodoo will make sure you keep that adrenaline high.
Kevin Gates another Louisiana native will take the stage at House of Blues, spitting game, and commanding your attention into Saturday morning.
If you are looking for something new, give Bully a chance. The southern alt rock band from Nashville is set to play at Gasa Gasa, and from what I hear they are the next biggest thing. Alicia Bognanno’s lyrics and vocals remind me of all the the 90’s female bands that I wish had never disappeared.
With every festival I attend the biggest hype day is always Saturday. The aftershow line up planned in Nola for Saturday only reinforces that fact.
Snakehips who is will be at Gasa Gasa is my must see for the weekend. If you have not listened to this British duo you are missing out! Oliver Lee and James Carter combine R&B, Rap, and Electronic to make music that always makes it to the top of my playlists.
Nicky Romero with 4B will be at Metro. Nicky who is ranked number 18 on DJ Magazines Top 100 DJ poll will no doubt set the bar high this weekend for best sets.
The final show of what will be definitely one of my favorite Halloween weekends is the oh so fitting Here Come The Mummies with Peelander Z at Civic. The Halloween themed funk band will be the perfect closer for the weekend.
