Returning for his 4th track, “When You Hold It Down,” marks the 2nd to last track of a saga for Cali-based electronic music Mt. Sierra. It follows 3 previously released singles, adding a lasting touch on what has been a chronicle of creativity.
“When You Hold It Down,” is one of his most upbeat and uplifting Mt. Sierra songs to date, featuring exotic instrument work, a thumping house melody, and a touch a feminine vocals to tie the piece together. Blended in is subtle production components from other songs on the Mt. Sierra EP, bringing a connected experience to this work if you’ve been following what’s been leading up to this point.
Based out of LA, Mt. Sierra, known as Matthew Sierra, has had a connection with music nearly all his life. Eventually finding inspiration within the space of progressive, deep, & tech house music in recent years.
He’s gained his experience through a dynamic blend of fateful moments. With music career/industry knowledge gained under the alias Matt Yo, through his classes at Icon Collective, and other ventures, all roads lead to Mt. Sierra. The future looks bright for what’s to come.
