From the looks of it, soon the movie industry will be capitalizing on the rise of “EDM” in the United States – at least so it seems. According to Deadline and Hollywood Insider, Sony Pictures has signed a pre-emptive deal to acquire the romantic comedy titled “I’m In Love With A DJ” from Lauryn Kahn – a former FunnyorDie.com employee. It has been said that the film will star Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly who are widely known for their parts in Step Brothers, among other films.

“The new deal is for an R-rated comedy is about a girl whose two best friends tag along on her work trip to Spain that quickly turns into a crazy hunt for a hot DJ through the electronic dance music scene. ” – Deadline.com
