will.i.am Admits What We Already Knew, He Stole Arty & Mat Zo’s ‘Rebound’

The internet effectively called out will.i.am for stealing Arty and Mat Zo‘s ‘Rebound’ and now he’s supposedly upset because it’s turned into a fiasco.

Here are a few excerpts from the TheSun.co.uk:

“Arty is a dope producer so I wrote this song to Rebound this last year. I got in touch with Arty and showed it to him… but something happened and hopefully we can resolve the issue.”

He labels Arty as a “dope producer”, doesn’t mention Mat Zo and then admits that he wrote this song to ‘Rebound’. It’s curious that he says he wrote this song, I’m not sure what he’s referring to here.

“It’s sad that it’s turned into a fiasco but hopefully it’s resolved, because I’m a fan of those guys. I contacted them last year and we’re fixing it now.”

Again instead of effectively apologizing and saying what he did was wrong, will.i.am hopes the situation gets resolved, because he’s a fan of “those guys”.

A better statement would have been something like, “It was wrong for me to steal Arty & Mat Zo’s track ‘Rebound’ and I hope that I can work it out with Anjunabeats. I’m a big fan of the trance family and you guys can stop threatening my life now”.

Too bad that didn’t happen.
