Apparently everyone is trying to get in on the music festival vibe lately. With the integration of music, art, food, culture, and now sports, festivals are becoming big money crowd pleasers. The Winter X Games in Aspen are cashing in on the belief that music brings people together by providing a diverse set of headlining acts paired with its skillful winter sports coverage. The Winter X Games will be located at Buttermilk Mountain from January 23-25, 2015.
Headliners include hip-hop moguls Snoop Dogg and Wiz Khalifa and also include a shift in genres with raver-friendly acts such as Chromeo and Skrillex. Expect to see a diversified complete lineup of X Games friendly artists. Tim Reed, VP of X Games and Events and Content stated that:
The goal is to help create more of a festival atmosphere around the sports. I think it’s also really exciting to be able to pop over and take in some great live music during the breaks. It creates a really good vibe on the mountain, especially with a great mix of talent like we have here between Snoop and Wiz, Skrillex and Chromeo.
Each headliner will perform at least one show alongside the most popular X Games events. Tickets are available here and range from $150-$200. In true festival fashion, the performances will be broadcasted live at XGames.com. More announcements will follow along with a more comprehensive schedule of events and musical acts.
