From Daft Punk to Justice, the French have established themselves as talented, skilled producers in the world of Electronica. Sylvian Richard aka 20syl has followed in the footsteps of these legends by creating clean, powerful remixes and original productions. While pursuing his solo career as a composer he has continued to work with C2C, the group he has belonged to since the 90’s.
Following the release of his album Motifs last week comes the official music video for “Kodama”, the first song off the album. The video is a unique take, supplying us a view into the technical production of the track and coupling it with skillful editing. We’re also given a glimpse into just how many instruments and sounds go into a track like “Kodama.” I think this speaks to the artistry of 20syl’s creations just as much as it contributes to the video.
