3LAU’s haus tour began touching down in locations across the world nearly four months ago and has since been one of the hottest topics in the electronic scene. Through the over the top performances and stellar lineups, 3LAU has truly gone above and beyond for this most recent tour. Just this past weekend 3LAU touched down in NYC and brought some very special and awesome guests along for the show. We saw performances from artists Justin Caruso, SK8, Cheat Codes, and of course, 3LAU.
The night kicked off right around 9 PM with Justin Caruso taking the decks initially. Justin without a doubt stole the night early dropping a bevy of his originals in addition to some remixes. Primarily throwing down future bass and progressive tracks, Justin had the crowd bouncing up and down to his ear warming beats. Next up was SK8 who incorporated rap and electronic adding for a more than pleasant mix up to the night. He would play Fetty Wap tracks as well as the popular mannequin challenge song, Black Beatles by Rae Sremmurd.
Up next on the decks was Cheat Codes who would start their performance right around 10:30. The trio played some of old school tracks in addition to some unreleased ones. The would even sing on multiple songs which added some cool diversity to their DJ set. As two members of Cheat Codes sang one would work the decks and pump up the crowd in every drop.
3LAU would take the stage right around 11:30 and the shear number of attendees at Terminal 5 could truly be seen. The entire floor was packed to the brim in addition to the VIP areas on the second and third floor. 3LAU’s set incorporated a mixture of progressive house, bass, and a little bit of trap. An hour and a half set went too fast and before you know it 3LAU was closing out the night with his ending tracks. He would drop his popular Is It Love and the entire crowd danced in unison to the deep house track. Last but certainly not least, How You Love Me was dropped as an encore and mashed together with Galantis’ Runaway (U & I).
The night would wrap up at 1 AM and it went all too fast. 3LAU has also been touring with a special stage exclusively for these performances and you have to see it to experience it. With three indivudal parts spanning across the stage it’s truly a spectacle. In addition the night was met with two giant lasers that certainly melted some faces in the crowd.
