With two bank holiday weekends approaching, the festival season is definitely not over here in the UK. Give summer 2017 a proper send off with these seven sensational festivals, some of which are globally renowned as the biggest and the best in electronic dance music. Be quick because tickets are selling out fast!
Houghton – 10 – 13 August, King’s Lynn
Houghton Festival is the UK’s best kept electronic secret. Not many know this but this festival is curated by tech house DJ Craig Richards and the lineup is made up of those he has personally invited. Produced by Gottwood in Norfolk, this three day art and music festival, centred around a lake and various disused spaces, will welcome Ricardo Villalobos, Seth Troxler, Andrew Weatherall and so many more. ‘I made it clear that the people invited would be chosen on merit. All will be chefs not waiters. All are artists whose talent I value immensely. It is my intention that the festival represents the very best in electronic music and those performing are closest to my heart and record box,’ Craig Richards said.

Sunfall – 12 August, London
Sunfall Festival is the best festival to discover new and artists that have gained success but remained undercover and underground. Brought to you by those behind XOYO, The Nest and Phonox, as well as Croatian festivals Outlook and Dimensions, the Brockwell Park event is back for year two. Another interesting feature is that it is a festival of two halves, rather than a variety of after parties on offer, so if you miss any artists in the day, you can catch them at Corsica Studios, Mangle, Phonox and many more London clubs. Get ready for a day of jazz, electronica, house, hip hop, dubstep, techno, soul, drum & bass and disco.

Creamfields – 24 – 27 August, Daresbury
In less than 20 days, the Glastonbury of dance music will return to Cheshire after a number of warm up Creamfields Steelyard events all over the UK showcasing the likes of the iconic Epic 5.0 show by the one and only Eric Prydz. Our highlight of this year’s festival will definitely be the Deadmau5 and Eric Prydz exclusive live performance together on Friday, who will also be joined by Maya Jane Coles and Alan Fitzpatrick on the Steel Yard stage. Pete Tong will also be putting on an excellent show on his namesake stage accompanied by Hot Since 82, Yotto and special guest The Black Madonna, an artist the UK is absolutely loving right now.
