Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival is known for its different ways for the festival goers to stay green and help out, loving atmosphere, and its killer lineup. Every year Bonnaroo has headlining acts from various different genres to attract different crowds together to join together to celebrate one magical weekend on the farm. These acts range from Billy Joel, to Deadmau5, to Bassnectar, to Mumford & Sons, to Red Hot Chili Peppers, to many more. This year, the headlining acts include Pearl Jam, two sets of Dead & Company, LCD Soundsystem, J. Cole, Ellie Goulding, and many more.
The lineup on the website is listed by headliners first and not in alphabetical order, so the artists towards the bottom of the lineup aren’t noticed as easily as the headliners at the top. This doesn’t mean, though, that these artists are any less respectable. Here are some of the artists lower on the lineup who you must see while you’re visiting the farm this June.
The Floozies
The Floozies, for example, are an amazing electric-funk duo from Lawrence, KS that bring a mellow vibe to electronic music. Their remix of “Africa” by Toto is a crowd favorite that makes everyone want to get up and dance. Go ahead and give it a listen.
Cashmere Cat
Cashmere Cat is a Norwegian producer and turntablist who just came into the electronic music scene a few years ago. His sound is very composed and peaceful. His debut EP Mirror Maru was a hit with millions of listens on SoundCloud in 2012. Check it out, and be sure to check him out at Bonnaroo this year.
Hermitude
Hermitude is an Australian electronic hip hop pair originating from Wales. Their unique sound is a crossover between modern hip hop and EDM, combining contemporary sounds and dance music. They are certainly on the rise and are not going anywhere but up. Their song “The Buzz” has been played by many other artists in their mixes/shows, and you’re probably already familiar with it from the dynamic duo Big Gigantic.
Keys N Krates
Keys N Krates is a Canadian electronic band from Toronto, Ontario. They released their first EP, Blackout, in 2011, and went nowhere but up from there. Keys N Krates has performed at Coachella, TomorrowWorld, Mad Decent Block Party, and many more festivals. Their song “U Already Know” is a crowd pleaser and a way to get everyone off their feet!
RL Grime
RL Grime is an American producer from Los Angeles. He released his first EP, Grapes, in 2011, before remixing Kanye West’s “Mercy” in 2012, which began his road to stardom. Since then, RL Grime has collaborated with artists like Baauer and What So Not. His EDM vibes get the crowd going and don’t stop until the end of his set.
