It’s hard to beat a nice dose of powerful releases to refuel you through the day. We’ve picked some of the best music with a punch from the past month. There are no boundaries, only good music; from big names like The Chainsmokers to underrated underground dudes like Elk Road, this selection of releases will have something for everybody.

Bebe Rexha – Drinking About You (The Chainsmokers Remix)

After their “Kanye” tease, The Chainsmokers surprised the world today by dropping a completely different full release, remixing Bebe Rexha’s “Drinking About You.” The remix shows off the dramatic side of The Chainsmokers that has become a staple element in their productions and live performances especially. “Drinking About You (The Chainsmokers Remix)” features powerful build-ups and meaningful progressive drops. In contrast, you can’t have The Chainsmokers without hilariousness, check out the description of this track for a good long laugh.

Stephan Walking – Shark City

Stephan Walking is picking up more on the tribal vibes with his single “Shark City,” released on 7/29 via Monstercat. Walking blends string instruments, piano, and synths with a flawless percussion beat, making “Shark City” easy to settle into. The soft drop is a solid combination of off-beat drums and a strange sounding vocoder verse, adding a nice dose on funk before the track gradually comes to a close.

 SNAILS – SNAILEDIT! Mix Vol.1 “Coming To America”

The daring and very different producer/DJ SNAILS released the first installment of “SNAILEDIT!,” a new mix series coming from the diverse producer. This mix beyond insane, featuring a speaker-shattering Far Too Loud Remix of “Wild,” as well as an onslaught of IDs that will have you foaming at the mouth wondering who made them.

Vexare & Portanexus – Across The Pond

“Across The Pond” is a funky piece in the “Horizon” EP, a 6-track set recently released by Vexare. Vexare collaborated with Portanexus on this one –  the dope glitch-hop drops and clever chord progressions proving the two clearly work well together.

Popeska – Talk To Me

Released as a part of Popeska’s #ONETRACKADAY series, “Talk To Me” acts as the almost all future bass single of the series. “Talk To Me” conveys electrifying melodies and a dramatic vocoder voice, all surrounded by a future bass beat. Some may be skeptical that the releases within #ONETRACKADAY may be thin or lack diversity, I can assure you with certainty the series encompasses quite the opposite.

Charli XCX – Boom Clap (Elk Road Remix)
