More and more side projects have come to fruition in the last few years. A-Trak, no stranger to collaborations, has teamed up with Lex Luger on a new project called Low Pros. Their first single, “100 Bottles”, delves straight into a monstrous trap beat with rapper Travi$ Scott providing vocals.
The beginning of the song resembles the hip-hop style of trap music (popularized by rappers like Waka Flocka and Gucci Mane), especially with Travi$ Scott’s autotuned singing. After a gradual build-up, the song incorporates hi-hats and 808’s from electronic trap music and fuses the two styles with a pounding drop.
The song definitely reflects both producers’ styles, with Lex Luger taking aspects from his hip-hop producing and A-Trak balancing his electro and trap styles. Brillz is also listed as a co-producer, making this an excellent combination of three producers’ talents. Fools Gold will release Low Pros debut EP later this year.
