Updated: Just when we thought there was something fishy happening with Above & Beyond, we can now take a deep breath and sigh of relief. The trio randomly announced last week that Trance Around The World 450 would be the last episode. This lead some people into disbelief, I’m here to bring you back to a happy reality.
From the screen shots above you can tell that all that is happening is a simple name change. A&B have decided to start fresh with their newly announced ‘Group Therapy Radio‘, which will air on 11/6 on the normal TATW time slot. They had this to say on their Facebook page:
Today we’re incredibly excited to announce the launch of our new weekly radio show: Group Therapy Radio.
It wasn’t an easy decision to say goodbye to TATW. Episode 449 was full of memories that have shaped our journey as artists and we’ve been blown away by all your messages. But Group Therapy has somehow evolved to sum up everything we do. It captures the relationship between us, our music and you, our audience, and the magic that happens when those three things interact. It’s something you’ve all taken into your hearts and it lies at the centre of everything that we do – the community, the connection, the interaction.
Our radio show is our weekly Group Therapy session with all of you. Thank you for being part of our journey so far and for joining us as we start this next chapter.”

Nov/2/12 – Today marks one of the saddest days for trance fans around the world, Above and Beyond have announced that their legendary Trance Around The World radio show is coming to and end. This is a surprising announcement because they just released ‘Tokyo‘ in celebration of hitting one million Facebook fans, who knows what this means for the future of the trio. TATW #449 highlights Jono Grant, Paavo Siljamäki, and Tony McGuinness’ favorite records from all of their past broadcasts.
The final episode (#450) will be next Friday, November 10th at the Sunburn Festival. It will be celebrated with Group Therapy which includes producers/DJs, Mat Zo, Andrew Bayer, Norin and Rad, and Jody Wisternoff.
