Above & Beyond’s much anticipated acoustic tour kicked off yesterday at St.John’s in London. Not only can these talented British producers create trance classics, but they will again show their diverse production skills by embarking on another acoustic tour. Showing a different yet more passionate side, these exclusive shows are not ones you’ll want to miss.
Most people know Above & Beyond for their popular club mixes of tracks like “A Thing Called Love”, or “Love is Not Enough”. However, most people don’t know these famous songs started out as acoustic versions. It’s only after they’ve finished them as acoustics do they begin to give the songs the electronic/trance feel we all love. If Above & Beyond brings you to tears at festivals, I challenge you to try and hold them back at an acoustic show.
Only days ago, Above & Beyond officially announced the vocalists that would be accompanying them on this legendary tour. Known for her co-writing and collaboration on the grammy nominated, “We Are All We Need”, Zoë Johnston will be returning for her second acoustic tour. Also accompanying her will Oceanlab member, Justine Suissa. This is Suissia’s first acoustic tour and Above & Beyond is ecstatic to be working with her and the other three talented vocalists; here’s what they had to say.
We’re super excited to have our good friends Justine and Zoë on board for these special shows and it’ll be a rare treat for our fans to see them perform together. Cobi and Natalie really blew us away with the quality of their voices and we can’t wait to introduce them to you all.
Also on tour will be Cobi and Natalie Holmes. Cobi is a singer-songwriter born in Minnesota and is known for his single, “Darker Than Dawn”. Natalie Holmes is a UK singer-songwriter who draws her musical influences from artists like Ellie Goulding, Gabrielle Aplin, and Bon Iver. The US part of the tour will start in Chicago on May 12th. Most of the shows are already sold out, however you can still try and get tickets here. In addition to that, they have also announced the track list for their soon to be released acoustic album.
