Fresh off finishing their widely acclaimed acoustic tour, Above & Beyond is now teaming up with Guitar Center to give one chosen artist the opportunity of a life time. Guitar Center first started the “Cover Me” contest in 2015 with Grammy winning producer Zedd. After receiving over 13,000 submissions, Seattle native Lophiile was chosen as the winner for his remix of Zedd’s “I Want You To Know” Ft. Selena Gomez. Lophiile’s remix would go on to be released by Zedd on Interscope records, as well as his remix of Zedd’s “Beautiful Now” that would be released in late 2015.
Guitar Center and Above & Beyond have paired together for 2016 to bring another contest very similar to the previous year. However, instead of remix of one their songs, the electronic trio will be searching for the best vocal cover of their hit song “Blue Sky Action” Ft. Alex Vargas. Submissions will be ranked through social media engagement and the top 100 artists will be reviewed by Above & Beyond themselves who will then pick the winner. After recently wrapping up their worldwide acoustic tour, it would make sense for a vocal cover rather than a remix to suit Above & Beyond better. Covering one of Above & Beyond’s best songs off of their “We Are All We Need” album, this is an opportunity you won’t want to miss. The winner will receive the following.
