Abraxis and Crystal Skies Release Pre-Requisite Course “Night Rider” on Ophelia Records

Abraxis has brought the students of their institute homework for the weekend, and we can’t wait to study up. The beautiful brain child of Jeff Montalvo of Seven Lions and Filip and Loch of Dimbio has swung the spotlight onto their psy trance project. After taking the quiz to join the institute online, students got to hear an 8 bit clip of their yet to be released track, “Black Rainbow”. Soon after, the prelude of the material we are too learn from our professors, “Old Gods”, dropped and quickly amassed streams. Soon after, their premiere at Dreamstate SoCal 2019 drew in the crowds and filled the tent to the brim. To say this was one of, if not the top highlight of that weekend, is an understatement. Recently, they released their “Amygdala” mix on SoundCloud, allowing us to revisit that incredible set and have a peek into what’s to come.

Now, Abraxis has teamed up with Crystal Skies for their highly coveted collaboration, “Night Rider”. This also isn’t the first time Seven Lions has teamed up with Crystal Skies, with their collab single, “Sojourn”captivating fans. From second 0, an energized synth layered with fierce guitar riffs fuse together for a menacing melody that immediately puts us under their spell. You can feel the horsepower and can’t help but reflect back to KITT from the 1982 film of the same name. With each drop, Abraxis and Crystal Skies flip psy-trance, mid tempo and melodic dubstep on their heads to create one hell of an experience. They don’t let up and for five minutes we’re left gasping for air, completely enthralled, and quickly pressing repeat.
