Independent music collective Abstract Future has released a promotion mix for their upcoming compilation, Bass For Revolution Vol. 2, which will be released July 2nd. Unlike volume one, which was released purely to promote the collective’s artists, this new compilation is a fundraiser for #SaveADopeBoy, a charity that provides support and guidance for at risk youth.
While short, the mix features a collection of fantastic tracks that will be on the compilation, spanning a variety of sounds and tempos. It begins with a motivating soundbite encompassing the project’s mission while the underlying jazzy piano evolves into whirlwind of bass sounds that find the balance between grim and melody. From there the mix glides through the styling of trap, psychedelic bass, and glitch-hop, before ending with a super dope, organ driven track that will please bass-heads and funk-junkies alike.
