In September 2016, two university students came together at the University of Otago, both with the goal to produce electronic music that incorporates their unique cross-cultural backgrounds. From this, a musical project was born. This previous February, the duo of Rob Atkins and Andro Mathewson that make up Acrillics released their newest single, “Vault,” on Electric Hawk Records.
