The singer / songwriter / producer Adam Tell has debuted his first ever EP entitled Fiction EP. The multi-talented artist captures a refreshing balance of exciting vocal melodies and original, easy-listening electronic. Releasing the EP via Cloudhead Records, (Fox Stevenson‘s label) the EP fits in with the family well, adding a highly-distinct sounds to the abstract-bass label.
“Slow Reveal,” a single that was teased weeks before the EP dropped, is a poppy, charming single perfect for introducing the EP, segwaying well into “Close This Case,” a radio-friendly original that’s hard not to like. The beat and voice is a joy from start to finish. ‘Fiction In The Fire,” steers the journey to a deeper area, slowing the vibe down for a moment and making it easier to get into the adventure of the lyrics. “Wait It Out” is the nostalgic, semi-romantic track that makes Fiction EP come full circle in a way. The track focuses on the struggle time can put on all of us. Wrapping up the EP experience is “Outrun,” a video game music-style track that ends the adventure on a positive, upbeat note.
