Only a few days remain until electronic dance music fans from around the world gather in Amsterdam for the astonishing 17th edition of the Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE). ADE is the world’s largest electronic music conference and festival that honors electronic music and all the sub-genres within the eclectic industry.
Attracting visitors from over 65 countries, it comes as no surprise that the 17th edition is anticipated to be the biggest ADE event yet. They are expecting over 200,000 festival visitors, 3500 panel representatives, and 1700 of the best acts in the EDM industry. Events kick off October 17th and continue over a 5-day span at 75 of the best venues across Amsterdam. With a total of 300 gigs, ADE is guaranteed to satisfy even the most starved fans dance music craving.
The festival kicks off with a few familiar Dutch superstars such as Sander van Doorn, who will be headlining Escape while Afrojack, Quintino, and the JACKED family take over Paradiso. If you’re more interested in tech and minimal, you can find Dubfire, Carl Lio, and Nic Fanciulli at Studio 80. Other artists such as Carl Cox, EDX, and Paul van Dyk will be spinning throughout the city on the opening night.
When you’re not in the club, you can catch the daytime conferences dedicated to specific genres and subjects. These conferences offer insight from the most influential people in the electronic music industry. Whether it’s discussion or debate, the ADE conferences allow EDM veterans to share their experiences, making this event the ultimate electronic music experience. Sub-events are also offered as apart of ADE’s program, just in case you need to fill your day with some more extra curriculars. Needless to say it’s going to be a busy week in Amsterdam, but make sure you clear your schedule Friday October 19th, for the DJ Mag Top 100 DJs Poll ceremony.
As the world’s largest festival and gateway to the electronic music scene, ADE is an electronic music lover’s paradise. Crowds flock to experience a line-up of established world famous DJ’s and future stars. The playlists are diverse but this bass dropping and beat-filled atmosphere brings EDM lovers worldwide together as one.
