Clubstep duo Adventure Club, whose sound is notably influenced by post-hardcore rock, has just released their remix of To A Friend (original) by fellow Canadian artists Alexisonfire. Having been a fan of Alexisonfire, and having just seen the band’s guitarist and vocalist Dallas Green perform as City and Colour a few months back, the fanboy in me was tickled with excitement by the release before I had even heard it.
Adventure Club uses smooth melodic basslines to accentuate Green’s vocals in a remix that is absolutely beautiful. The mellow sound is a departure from the familiar Adventure Club dance-dubstep style, showing their aptitude as producers. These guys have proved to be unstoppable in 2012.
