Ever since Calvin Harris had tremendous success with his 2014 hit “Summer,” it seems many artists are following the seasonal trend this year. This summer Maroon 5 has taken it to the next level with their latest single “This Summer’s Gonna Hurt Like a Mother F****r.” But to create a wider appeal to their latest track, they have asked the young Swedish sensation Alesso to put his magic touch on this track.
When it comes to making pop vocalists sound amazing on club tracks, Alesso may do it the best (i.e. Ryan Tedder, Tove Lo, etc.). Premiering this new remix at EDC Las Vegas this past weekend, Alesso has kept the catchy vocals of Adam Levine and added a beautiful Swedish chord progression to give the track a new energy. The breakdown in the middle of the track has an absolutely funky bassline that makes you uncontrollably sway your body side to side before building back into the powerful drop.
This remix is surely going to be a festival anthem this summer and you can expect to hear every big DJ drop this tune in their sets. After the success of his debut album Forever, Alesso has been taking his career to new heights. He is having huge cross-over success on the radio but still knows how to keep his original fans pleased.
