For those looking to find the sounds of the next big name in Techno, keep your eyes and your hears on Alex Stein. This Bavarian-Brazilian is heating up the genre with his unique sound, one that emulates the skillful infusion of his German roots, South American upbringing, and his vast musical studies at the SAE Institute in Frankfurt. Not to mention, he runs with a crowd in São Paulo that knows a thing or two about dark and dirty beats, like his long-time friend and supporter Victor Ruiz. On the rise, representing a new generation of techno artists from Brazil, this DJ and producer has already seen releases on major labels, with his recent hit “Aurora” on Coyu’s Suara.
Alex Stein show’s up once again on his latest EP Zeit. Out now on Oliver Huntemann‘s Senso Sounds imprint, this debut will make any dance floor rumble. The opening title track “Zeit,” will make your heart and feet pound simultaneously, boasting deep, rolling drums and out of this world moments to give the track endless drama. The second track “Atomkraft” is a tough-as-nails muscular techno beat with a springy groove and hard drive. Finally, Hamburg’s own André Winter gives us a remix of the title track, turning up the intensity more than a few notches with his own signature vibe.
