After rolling out of bed at 11:30, the first track I stumble on is Diplo’s latest remix of Dawn Golden’s “All I Want,” a sweet addition to Dawn Golden’s new album, which also dropped today. The remix contains small bits of several styles: mostly twerk claps, roaring horn drops, unprecedented melodies, and trippy vocal bridges, all laced with an indie vibe. A serious mixture that allows the emotion of the track to transition multiple times during it’s progression. Diplo stays on top because his sound dominates. I’ve never heard anything like “All I Want (Diplo Remix)” before, but now I can’t wait to here more genre-hybrid style tracks like this.
