Getting asked to mix the “Body Language” series is like being asked to go to prom with the high school quarterback or the head cheerleader. Get Physical Music has asked amazing artists such as M.A.N.D.Y., Dixon, DJ Hell, and Catz ‘N Dogz to showcase their talent and uniqueness, and now the German duo Andhim (Simon & Tobias) have joined their brethren to bring us Body Language Volume 14. Known best for their amazing remix of Theophilus London’s “Wine and Chocolate” they broke out into the touring scene and world by 2010 and were quickly named in the Top Ten Newcomers for Groove and Raveline Magazines, two of the top EDM magazines in Germany and throughout Europe. Simon commenting on the overall theme of the mix:
“We wanted to bridge between music we love to hear while looking out of the window during a train ride, music which people can start their night with. Tracks we play in our live sets and own stuff we wanted to be presented.”
With a mix of deep house, electronica, and techno, this is the perfect mix to get your night started, or to wind down with. The smooth and sensual mix of liquid beats, subtle synths, this mix encompasses a great mixture of highs and lows, but never making your arm look at you and say “LET’S FIST PUMP!” From the song “Cheer Up” by Bostro Pesopeo that will keep your feet tapping to the cares and vexations of life that “IDDQD” by Super Flu that says just keep pushing, keep pushing, this mix will surely lift you up, throw you down, but in the end, have you coming back for more.
Andhim’s “Body Language Volume 14” is out now on iTunes and Beatport.
