Directly following “EMBERS,” “HOLD YOU” is equally as impressive, driven by a dynamic arrangement that enchants listeners with its clever use of intimate vocals, intoxicating melodies, and smooth house grooves.
“I wrote HOLD YOU while in San Diego for Christmas vacation. San Diego holds a very special place in my heart as it reminds me of someone who I loved dearly but ultimately had to let go. I wanted to write something to reflect that feeling but also have it feel uplifting and hopeful. The feeling I was trying to capture, that everyone has probably felt in their life, is the feeling of being with the right person but at the wrong point in time,” explains the artist about the process behind the song.
Born in Albany and currently residing in San Francisco, Angrybaby has been engulfed in music for a long time now, starting off with piano lessons as an adolescent, and going on to hone in on his composition skills throughout high school. When he reached college, he fully immersed himself in the world of electronic music, and upon returning to the San Francisco-Bay Area after graduating, he also dove into DJing. Now, on top of consistently sharing mesmerizing singles, Angrybaby hosts and curates a weekly event at White Rabbit called Saturday Social.
