Although based in Brooklyn now, Jack Murphy and Brady Perrigo met in high school while living in Wisconsin. Through the power of developmental teenage years, the two began to bond over music and knew they wanted to create something that highlighted a wide spectrum of genres from jam bands to hip hop to electronic. While most producers want to achieve a multi-genre approach without diverging from electronic music, ANIMÁL incorporates alternative rock with dance music through guitars, synthesizers, and melodic vocal sampling.
In preparation of their debut album Flight, which is slated for release this summer, the duo that make up ANIMÁL is entering the electronic-rock landscape with a bang through their debut single “Let Me Down.” The track enters with a magical, ethereal soundscape and demonstrates a perfect combination between indie-rock and modern dance. Emotive chord progressions balance the track between celestial and straight up rockin’.
Flight will be here this summer and will contain 12 tracks, all written/ produced by Jack and Brady and mixed by Pluko.
