Anna Lunoe has always been the bright spot in our disco eyes, with her impeccable mixing of bouncing house beats and vivacious electro melodies filtering into our heart and souls with each record. Lunoe has this incredible energy commanding whatever stage she graces upon like Moonrise, EDC Las Vegas, Das Energi to legendary clubs around the world. This carries through beyond the decks, whether it’s running Apple Music’s Beats 1 Dance Chart Radio to her own HyperHouse movement talk show, both of which have had heavyhitter guest appearances like Calvin Harris, Alison Wonderland, Chris Lorenzo, Gorgon City, and more. Lunoe has continued to kick ass in 2019, recently revealing that she will be amongst the tastemakers that make up the Wynn Nightclub residencies along side Diplo, Dillon Francis, Black Coffee, and RL Grime. We’ll catch a breathe for Lunoe has she continues to kill it this year.
The Australia based producer has breathed life into us with her latest Mad Decent release, “303”, a nod to the classic 303 bass synthesizer and giving acid house culture the ultimate throwback. We get thrust in immediately with high tempo bass and our heads can’t help but bob along. The seductive vocals commandeer the track, telling us to dance to the beat of the 303. The structure of the verse is reminiscent of one of hip-hop’s top lyricists, Eminem, with his world renowned track, “Without Me”. This refreshing collage of the past gives us the ultimate refresher that livens up the dance floor. Anna had this to say about producing “303”,
“Making music is weird, sometimes it feels really impossible and other days it happens so easily. This song is really exciting for me because it was one of the quickest songs I’ve ever made, and has re-inspired me to focus on super playable, simple, ravable, rowdy weird club music. It reminded me how fun making club bangers can be and I hope it makes you feel all those things.”
You can get your dance on to Anna Lunoe’s “303” on Apple Music, Spotify, and SoundCloud now.
