Today, April 15th, the electronic world received unfortunate news regarding the passing of Armin Van Buuren’s father in-law. Due to the death in his family, Armin’s Chicago date this Thursday on his Armin Only tour has been canceled. Undoubtedly a bummer for anyone with a ticket, the choice was the correct one as family always comes before work, no matter your profession.
Van Buuren’s management provided an in-depth explanation of the decision making process and let fans know every attempt was made to go through with the date. In the end however, family comes first and Armin made the very respectable decision to take a step back and tend to his family during this difficult time. As specified in the notice, refunds for anyone with a ticket will be available at the point of purchase. No make-up date has been announced, but we will be sure to update if one does materialize.
