Armin doesn’t really like how everything today in dance music is centered around the drop. When the shift happened is uncertain, but popular notions aren’t stopping van Buuren from getting back to his roots with trance music.
Speaking directly to Mixmag,
“I want to bring people on a journey rather than just bringing them the drops.” Then on the new Armin Only tour, “It’s going back to my roots with trance. I’ve got a new director, a completely new set of singers, a new theme and a few special surprises.”
The trance community celebrated the news that Armin Only would be returning to the United States in 2014. Now they have even more reason to be excited.
