Ever since the explosion of electronic dance music in the United States every fan has, at least at one time, had an interest in learning how to DJ. That is until they realized how much quality equipment actually costs. There has been many attempts to create software and equipment that is both inexpensive and easy to use. However this time with the help of Armin van Buuren Philips may have come up with something worth checking out.
The Philips M1X-DJ mixer was co-designed by unarguably one of the most talented and popular DJ’s in the world, Armin van Buuren, that obviously won’t hurt the products marketability. But if you expect a piece of equipment that is subpar, think again because Armin stated in a video below that he has “a standard to keep up“. The M1X-DJ mixer offers a complete package with a built in speaker system and is compatible with iPads, iPods, and iPhones. The decks will allow you to use a high quality EQ, sync tracks, set cue points, play with special effects just like a professional DJ, and more.
“It is pretty close to reality (the Philips M1X-DJ Mixer), I would be able to DJ with this for six or seven hours no problem because it has the same functionality.” – Armin van Buuren (Source)
The Philips M1X-DJ will be released sometime in November for roughly $526. If you decide to take the plunge and purchase one feel free to email us a review.
