Updated: A side from trance master, Armin van Buuren, who is to headline. If you attend New Years at Pier 36 you’ll be graced by the presence of, Tyler Sherritt, an EDM producer/DJ who has come a long way in 2012. As the official opener for #1 voted DJ Armin van Buuren, you can expect nothing sort of an extraordinary set from Sherritt.
He has been taking his career to the next level, whether it be sharing several original tracks such as ‘Wonders‘, ‘Spiral‘, and ‘Brooklyn‘ with fellow producers, or by releasing some massive bootlegs such as ‘Molly Generation‘, ‘Azumba Dounia‘, and most recently ‘The Fusion Spaceman‘. A few months ago Tyler teamed up with Swab and Joey Mova by providing the vocals to ‘Lux in Tenebris‘ which was signed to Paul Oakenfold’s Perfecto Fluoro and reached the 49th spot on Beatport’s top Trance chart.
Aside from productions, Tyler Sherritt has taken the east coast by storm with several appearances at New York City’s most popular house music venues (Roseland Ballroom, Pacha, Cielo, Santos, etc.), with monthly visits to DC and Baltimore, and absolute rage fests down in Miami. Recently, he has been making his way across the US with a west coast debut and several college visits; with many more to come. But besides his undeniably memorable headlining gigs, Sherritt has had the honor to open for some of the greatest DJ/Producers in the EDM scene including Eric Prydz, Dirty South, John Dahlback, Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike, Sunnery James and Ryan Marciano, along with repeat opening acts for both Deniz Koyu and Gregori Klosman, and soon, adding to this already extensive list, the legendary Armin van Buuren.
Oct/29/12 – As if being chosen as one of the first stops for the A State Of Trance 600 tour wasn’t enough. During Armin van Buuren‘s performance at Lavo NYC on October 26th, he announced that he will be coming back to New York for New Years Eve. Although there are no details out about the event, this announcement will surely hype up the cities trance lovers. If you’re interested in bringing in the New Year with the five time DJ Mag #1 DJ, keep an eye on this post. We will be updating it with more information as it comes out (venue, ticket prices, lineup). Until then enjoy the latest episode of A State Of Trance and tune in this week to see what city AvB adds to the tour (Episode 584//Tracklist below):
