For fans of old school Pretty Lights, look no further than Artifakts. Aptly named to fit his style, Wisconsin-based Garret Meyer is farely new to the scene but making big moves with a very minimalist and mellow approach. His producing can be referred to as “retronica” for its use of antiquated samples and overall regressive musical feel.
He recently released a collection of three songs via his SoundCloud that epitomize his musical style. Simply entitled “Beatape”, it highlights the mellow atmosphere of his music. Each track also has a very hip-hop feel to it while incorporating samples and keys that fit perfectly.
