Artifakts continues his rise in the electro-soul genre as of late as he releases a new summer track, entitled “Hang Tight”. It’s got a super chill vibe, with lethargic guitar notes and some smooth hip-hop drum beats. It just gives off this relaxed vibe that sounds very much like Pretty Lights but certainly contains Artifakt’s own loose flair.
The song is a little more electronic that most Artifakt releases I’ve heard up until this point. It enters with some slight background synths, but a prominent “wobble” type synth is heard later in the track. This is what really drew me to make the Pretty Lights comparison; however, Artifakts is able to maintain that relaxed vibe and has some spare sampling as well that makes his style very unique at the same time.
