Autograf is an artistic trio based in one of the most musical cities in the world, Chicago. They got their start in the Fall of 2013 when they discovered that their love of art went far beyond just the visual sense to include the sensual stimulation of sound.
What began as a recurring basement party that would assuage the burdens of rent for the struggling artists, quickly aroused a desire within them to pursue music. After realizing how well they worked together creatively, the music flowed so naturally it was almost innate.
Unbridled by the modern prejudice of what music should be, they’ve been able to cultivate a sound unique to their own style and leave their mark everywhere in the world it is heard. What they call “future house” or “audio soup” is a velvety mix of electronic meets marimba conceived to soothe the mental din that deafens us all.
Autograf creates the kind of music that reminds us we have a soul that needs tending to and tonight DC residents can do just that. The trio will be performing alongside French house DJ, Zimmer to complete the evening of, what I like to call, sultry feel good music.
