Avicii, one of the most influential figures in music today, returns to Washington DC for Super Glow on Friday, February 1st, 2013 at the 10,000 person capacity D.C. Armory. Previous Super Glow events include sold out sets by Tiesto in 2010 and Armin van Buuren in 2011. The D.C. Armory serves as one of the largest indoor venues that host EDM events on the east coast, but is notoriously a fan favorite because it doesn’t resemble a conventional corporate arena like the Verizon Centeror the Barclay’s Center in New York. Instead its simple layout of a 70,000 square foot floor and massive stage gives it the ambience of a clean retro warehouse that EDM lovers feel right at home with.
From the mainstage at Ultra to his summer residence in Ibiza, Avicii has polished his skills because when he performed at D.C.’s newest venue Echostage in October 2012, his DJ prowess showed immense improvement. He asserted himself from the start and set the tone for the night with his track selection, just as the best veteran DJ’s do. He had an excellent balance of his newer songs, remixes of older songs, exclusive mash-ups, exclusive “No ID” tracks, and the hottest electro-house songs of that time.
As a result, the demand to have him return to D.C. was so high that ClubGlow decided to bring him back just 4 months later for a show that has 3 times the capacity of Echostage.
