Both soccer, and dance music fans alike should be very excited for this coming Summer, as it has just been revealed that the esteemed Swedish DJ/producer, Avicii, will be collaborating on a track which is to be the official anthem of the 2014 FIFA World Cup. Entitled “Dar um Jeito (We Will Find A Way)”, Avicii will be collaborating on the tune with various notable artists, such as Wyclef Jean, Carlos Santana, and Alexandre Pires (a Grammy-award winning singer). The track was initially produced by Rami Yacoub, Wyclef Jean, Ash Pournouri, and Carl Falk, who later asked Avicii to put his own spin on the original, being renowned for his distinctive, and innovative sound, as well as his proficiency at producing various forms of electronic music. In a statement, Avicii explained:
“I gave it a ‘Samba meets my dance music’ sound. Which works perfectly for the positive spirit of the song. To write for the official closing anthem of the FIFA World Cup is a huge honour as it’s the biggest event I can remember growing up.”
No preview of this highly-anticipated track has been divulged as of yet, however the track is scheduled for release towards the end of the month. It will also be performed at the FIFA World Cup Closing Ceremony, which will be taking place on July 13th.
