After its first edition was a true success, Romanian Awake Festival is back in 2018 for the second time and promises an even better party than last year. This time, the lineup consists of Wilkinson Live, Milky Chance, The Subways, The Parlotones, DJ Shiver and more.
The history of the festival began in 2017 when the organizers came with the idea of yet another castle festival in the heart of Transylvania, but taken on with a different perspective. Awake Festival was devised as a Garden of Music and Arts, and sets itself apart from any other festival by its relaxed, backyard-like vibe and mix of genres. The fest takes place on Teleki Estate, a beautiful 18th-century baroque castle surrounded by 16 acres of land, a pond and century old trees, in Gornesti, Romania. It’s amazing location allows you to loosen up and forget all about your problems in a beautifully unique setting.
In its inaugural year, Awake Festival welcomed artists like Tom Odell, Knife Party, Modestep, Dirtyphonics, and Axel Thesleff, just to name a few. No word yet, but fingers crossed that some of these players head back for round two.
