Calling All Hard Workers: Backwoods is Looking for Volunteers

Backwoods Music Festival is coming up sooner than you think. If you haven’t seen the lineup, it is packed with various EDM, glitch-hop, and chill artists to round out a fantastic Labor Day fest. We have been working hard with Backwoods to create some of the best giveaways we have done to date! If you want something a little more permanent, check out Backwoods’ volunteer program!

As an avid festival volunteer myself, I have seen everything and been able to work with tons of different crews. This is a great way to gain experience in festival operations while creating lasting connections in the festival industry. We have seen volunteer programs from every scale, and it seems that Backwoods’ volunteer program is the right way to attend the festival if you don’t want to commit to the $149 ticket price.

Backwoods is currently looking for pre-fest, during fest, and post-fest volunteers in exchange for a ticket. As a volunteer you must commit to three 6 hour shifts (18 hours in total). They will try to work around your schedule and will even partner you up with your friends. You will need to put down a $149 deposit, but you get that back as soon as you fulfill your volunteer duties.

As a volunteer you receive:

• Zero application fee (most fests ask you to put down a $25 fee)
• Special access to backstage viewing areas not available to VIP or GA
• Food and drinks including beer if you’re over 21 when you’re not working
• Camp in VIP with free showers and toilets!
• Access to pool area and rec room
• More perks!
